Stu Goldstein has been a senior
Corporate Communications counselor for over 20 years, including serving as
spokesperson at
two Fortune 500 companies. In addition, he’s been a lobbyist, run political
campaigns in New Jersey for over a decade and early in his career wrote for a
newspaper.
As head of Corporate Communications at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), he currently serves as the company’s senior strategist and spokesperson. DTCC, with operating facilities in multiple locations in the U.S. and overseas, is a holding company for six subsidiary businesses -- a depository, 3 clearing corporations, an information-based and business processing solution provider, and an automated matching and confirmation services for over-the counter (OTC) derivatives trades -- as well as the co-owner with Thomson Financial of a global joint venture called Omgeo. Through its subsidiaries, DTCC provides clearance, settlement and information services for equity, corporate debt, municipal debt, government securities and mortgage-backed securities in the U.S., and emerging markets debt trades globally. It is also a leading clearinghouse for mutual funds and insurance products, linking funds and carriers with distribution networks. He manages a staff of 24 and works with PR agencies based in the U.K., U.S., Japan, and Hong Kong. Mr. Goldstein’s research on best practices in Corporate Communications and the introduction of innovative strategies using technology have been the basis for a number of articles he’s authored for publications in the U.S. and overseas. In addition, he completed a book chapter for the Public Relations Society of America’s Practical Public Affairs in an Era of Change, which was published in 1996. His writings have been frequently cited and used by professionals in the field, including the U.S. Air Force’s task force report on restructuring their communications program. He also quoted in Risky Business: Protect Your Business on the Web and Managing the Media. Mr. Goldstein has also published numerous newspaper op-ed articles on public policy issues. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Graduate program in Corporate Communications at Fairleigh Dickinson University and recently joined the editorial board of Strategic Communications Management magazine.
